My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon. From the minute we checked in we were treated very well, with the hotel looking to help us with any questions about both the hotel or Paris. The room was not especially large, but it was definitely sufficient for our purposes. The bed was harder than we were used to, but we came to realize that hard beds seem to be the norm in Europe.

The morning breakfast buffet was great and provided a nice start to the day, especially when able to sit in the street side area of the dining room, which is completely glass walled.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a nice place to stay close to the Champs Elysees. We did find that the hotel was a little further from the sights than we would have liked, but there is a Metro stop directly across the street which provided easy transportation to all points of the city.

This hotel was awesome.It was in a great location we were able to walk to all the sights and shopping. Also the air france bus drops you off right across the street way to arrive from airport and only 15 euros.

Room was clean and nicely decorated.
Bed was huge and comfortable

Staff was great house keeping friendly and good,front desk helpful and gave great choices for dinners and sightseeing.
Bar small but intimate.
Never ate a meal in the hotel.
All in all I highly recomend this hotel it is amazing.

We were 2 families totaling 8 people - and we booked a total of 4 rooms otherwise called "family rooms". Each family had two rooms. The odditiy was that the "kids" room had and entry vestibule with suitcase area, two single beds, a large bathroom, a separate sitting room with sofa and a balcony overlooking the arch d' triumph. The parents' room was a shoe box with a small bathrooom and the view of a brick wall. A view of the sky was poossible by opening window and craning neck way out. Had they placed the queen bed in the kids' "suite" and the twins in the 'adult' room it would have made much more sense. All else was great. If you need a large taxi make sure they truly understand what large is --- they kept ordering taxis that did not even fit 4 people!

We recently stayed for two nights at the Splendid. Rooms were great. Spacious by European standards, clean and well appointed. We had a long trip and the room was ready early. Staff were great on check in and it was refreshing to relax and get ready for what Paris offers. Hotel is in a great location close to Arc de Triumphe and metro. Easy walks for shopping, dinner, and just sight seeing.
Faroq at the concierge was fantastic on everything for tips, dinner, and everything else. We had problems getting in with the bus strike, but Faroq arranged a private taxi to take us back. Everything went perfect.
Some folks complain the breakfast is pricey but consider that convenience, wide assortments, and time begins to seem a bargain when you are limited for time in Paris!
