“Great Location”

The location of the Flaubert in Paris is fantastic. Walking distance to the Arc de Triompe and public transport, restaurants and everything else in Paris. Our room was a little small for 3 adults but we only needed for sleeping. The breakfast was absolutely the best, plenty of fresh fruit, croissants and bread, cereal, juice and tea and delicious coffee. The breakfast room attendant was very attentive and friendly. The front desk attendants were extremely helpful and all spoke English. Try this hotel and I am sure you will love it for all the above reasons.

“You get what you pay for.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2006

This hotel is the perfect example of 'You get what you pay for'.

The public areas were simple, clean and comfortable but if your looking for some luxury then your going to have to pay a bit more for it. The rooms were basic to the extreme, the carpet in my particular room was badly stained, there was a fan but no air-con. The TV in the room is all in French, no English channels, there were safe deposit boxes but these are in reception and not in the room.

The location was good, not too far from the nearest tube station 'Ternes' but you will need a street map to find your way to and from it.

Across the road from the hotel is a mini-market with a green door, use it! The only drink facilities in the hotel is a vending machine and drinks in the city are over priced.

All in all not the best place to stay, but not the worst either. If your main concern is somewhere to leave your stuff then this is a great choice. If your looking for some luxury as well your going to have to pay a bit more for it.

One last thing, if you are considering this hotel please check their own website before booking. We found on returning that their site was cheaper than the 'discounted' website we booked it from.

“pleased with the Flaubert”

just spent two nights at the Flaubert. Room was small but clean. got a good rate from the hotel of 90 euros per night, inclusive of all taxes, etc. (but not breakfast which we did not take for the 9 extra euros). location is great; a quick walk to the Termes metro station on line 2 and not much further to the huge station at L'etoile where you can take metro and RER lines. Quiet street, so our room being on the street was not a problem. NO AC, which could be a problem come summer --- Paris was in the chilly 50s for our stay and they even turned on the heat at night. we feel we got good value for our money here.

“Loved the Flaubert”

Nothing fancy about this hotel but what they do offer was very reliable. I don't mean that in a bad way. I looked forward to coming 'home' at night as I knew it was cozy/comfortable and the staff were always helpful (even when I did bug them repeatedly for ice) Great neighbourhood especially the bistro across the street...I'll be back next year !

“Clean and Friendly”

10 - 15 minutes walk to the Arc de Triomphe. Very friendly staff. Breakfast consists of cereal, croissants and toast. Basic but fine. I thought the hotel was very good value for money. Rooms are small but why would you want to stay in the room for very long? Terrnes metro is 5 minutes walk away. Only bad point is no bar. Buy beer or wine in the shop on the street.
