“Fantastic riding holiday - perfect getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2010

My husband and I spent one week staying at Annaharvey and (horseback) riding twice a day. The accomodations were wonderful - large comfortable bed, beautiful views out the window, and extremely quiet and peaceful. Lynda and her family made us feel very welcome. The riding was absolutely fantastic! We took two lessons a day from Paddy and mostly focused on cross-country riding techniques. Paddy corrected a number of bad habits I've collected over the years, but kept us focused on having fun.
Tullamore is a nice town, and Annaharvey is nicely situated for afternoon visits to a number of sites, including Birr Castle, Lough Boora and Clonmacnoise. A lovely and perfect vacation.

This was an amazing riding vacation.
The Horses were fantastic and so were the Instructors.
The B&B was lovely and clean and the food was very good.
The cross-country course was amazing and galloping through the water was a blast.
The Irish really know their stuff and Linda, her family and her staff couldn't have been nicer and more accomodating.
There were also beautiful grounds to go for nightly walks.
If you want a a great riding vacation I would highly recommend this establishment.

“Wonderful equestrian holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2009

This place is fantastic. The riding is great, the instructors tailor the lessons to focus on what you want to work on, and the horses are all extremely well-trained. There is a fantastic cross-country course, which is great even just for hacking through. Pat and Jenna the instructors are really wonderful, they push you but not beyond what you can handle.
The atmosphere of the whole place is very comfortable, Linda and everyone else are welcoming and accommodating. You are well looked after at this place, without being fussed over. It was also very nice to meet the other guests, as all the meals and riding lessons are shared. It was a great experience. I will definitely be going back if I get the chance!

“Genuine hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2009

Annaharvey Farm is a hospitable family run equestrian centre that is well worth visiting. I have been there at least once a year for the last six or seven years or so (travelling across from the UK) and have very happy memories of some great holidays. There is a good variety of horses for all abilities of leisure riders and similarly a mix of cross-country jumps for the novice to more experienced riders. Typically one rides in small instructed groups.
All this is backed up by quality wholesome food and comfortable rooms - and it is in easy distance of Tullamore for a night out.
I will be visiting Annaharvey again......
