My family and I stayed one night with Rhoda during our trip to Ireland. The house is beautiful and perfectly decorated! The rooms and bathrooms were extremely spacious with nice furnishings. We met Rhoda at checkin and she provided us with maps and ideas for the evening. Thanks to an earlier review I knew to ask for a room at the back of the house. It was quieter, but a bit warmer due to the afternoon sun. Be advised that this is a busy road going in to Kilkenny. We did walk to town, but it was quite a hike. We had nice weather and the long light in the evening. Breakfast was the absolute best of our trip. Rhoda's presentation is exquisite! Beautiful breads, jams and cereals were available along with the best fresh fruit while we waited for our main dishes. My tradional Irish breakfast came with an awesome side of sauted fresh mushrooms! You can't go wrong with this B&B if you can get past the slight issues of road noise and location! Rhoda also took credit cards for payment--something that was hard to find in Ireland.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in May 2010 having seen the reviews on Tripadvisor. We travel a lot and usually stay in B&Bs where we can and without any doubt this is one of the best, if not the best, we have ever stayed in. Phil and Rhoda are excellent hosts, the food is better than any hotel we have stayed in, a lot of it home made by themselves. I havn't recommended any previous B&B so believe me when I say this one is QUALITY, you will not be disappointed. It's about a 15 minute walk along the flat to the town centre and the B&B has ample parking for all. Thanks to Phil and Rhoda our holiday was made that little bit special.

We have just returned from two weeks in Ireland and spent one night t Rosquil House...great breakfast, wonderful rooms...a short walk to Kilkenny. Rhoda was very helpful.

Fantastic stay. Phil is beyond compare and makes you feel at ease at once. The attention to details is evident with everything provided you may need to make your stay just right. Stayed at 5 different places in as many days and this once was the best. Facility is spotless and has the feel of your own house. Breakfast was a great made to order, fresh flowers on the table and again, great service. Less than 5 min from downtown with a host of restaurants to choose from, Phil can provide the direct you may need.
