we stayed at claremount house for only one night and we absolutely loved it. anna and steven were so welcoming and gave us a great tip on an excellent italian restaurant in salthill. the rooms were immaculate and the bed divinely comfortable. it was such a nice way to experience ireland and the generosity of the irish people firsthand.
the hot breakfast was delicious and the b&b's location right across the road from galway bay ensured we had a lovely view over breakfast. wish we could've stayed longer!

We were initially attracted to this really nice B&B by the website. It had lovely photographs and even had 360 Virtual Tours so we could see exactly what we were getting before we arrived. This reduced our anxiety a lot. Anyway it is a great little spot right beside the Salthill prom with terrific views. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and this is a welcome change from the big hotels ... we will do B&B's in ireland form now on I think. Rooms are great and clean. Breakfast is lovely and the service is top notch. We had a lovely stay and we wil definitely go back. No hesitation at all in recommending this little gem to other travellers.

Our first trip to Ireland was wonderful! We came to Galway to visit our daughter who is studying abroad for a semester. I wasn't sure where to stay, but through other reviews on this site, I settled on Claremount House. I made a great choice!
Anna and Steven were wonderful hosts. We felt welcomed and comfortable right away. The view of the bay from our room and our breakfast table was amazing. The room and bed were comfortable. The breakfast was very filling and tasty. The location couldn't have been better. Although a little far from the city centre, we enjoyed the peace and quiet in the evenings. Would recommend this B & B highly!

This is a lovely place to stay if visiting Galway/Salthill/Conamara. A warm and friendly welcome makes you feel right at home. Our room was well appointed and impeccably clean as was the rest of the guest area. Along with ample parking and beautiful views across Galway Bay it surpassed our expectations and proved great value for money.
An unhurried perfect breakfast to die for was served up with a smile in the morning following a very comfortable night and the only regret we have is that we couldn’t stay longer. We will add this to out favourites for future visits to the City of the Tribes.
