My wife, mother-in-law and I arrived in the early evening and checked out just a few hours later. The band in the pub began playing at 10:00 p.m. and it sounded like they were in our room. There is no way anyone could sleep for the four hours the band was going to play till 2:00 a.m. We don't know if the band actually played till 2:00 a.m. because by 11:00 p.m. we had had enough. When I checked-out, the band was playing so loudly that the receptionist and I had to communicate with mouth nearly touching ear and we still had to repeat ourselves to be understood. In the prior 30 days, my wife and I have traveled extensively throughout Ireland, the Netherlands and Peru. The Spanish Arch was the worst hotel ever...by far! If you are looking for a place to party till 2:00 a.m., this may be the place for you. If, however, you (as we) were foolish enough to think a hotel room should be a place where you can sleep peacefully at midnight, this is definitely not the place for you--no way.

Was meant to go to Prague on Thursday morning with a Stag however due to flight cancelation had to stay in Ireland, were lucky to get rooms in the Spanish Arch as they had a foreign group that canceled, expalined my situation to the hotel and they gave us special rate for the weekend, they could not have done more for us, organised entry into the greyhounds and paintballing, hotel was perfect location for the stag. The hotel is right in the middle of the city and has everything within minutes walk. They looked after us so well, the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a laugh, They had a late bar with a very late late residents bar. Well worth missing Prague for!!!!!

Such a great hotel , fantastic location and a great rate for our stay, Food was amazing and I cannot fault one single thing .The rooms were spacious and the beds were so comfy... and the staff were so helpful and friendly...Free Wi Fi was a bonus also. Will absolutely return a great choice for your stay in Galway...

recently spent a weekend away in galway,stayed in the spanish arch hotel,really nice well run hotel great value and room was spotlessly clean as my partner kept pointing out,id go back for the location alone right in the middle of the city ,shops and restaurants only a short stroll ,we checked out the hotel bar one night and they had a great live band playing that night and the bar was buzzing. great time in galway and made all the nicer by finding this lovely clean affordable hotel will be back next time in galway .
