The room we were initially given had not yet been cleaned and was in a bad state. The receptionist then gave us a room on the top floor, which was at least clean. You can see how the hotel must have been lovely once but it is now rather shabby. The windows do nothing to minimise the noise from the street below. If you do stay at this hotel be prepared to stay out for most of the night and to not require a great deal of sleep. On the up side, at least the band playing were playing decent enough music! Do not stay here if you plan on getting to bed before 3am. The band had finished by 2 but the people on the street were shouting and singing for the next couple of hours after that. There were two hours of quiet and then the bin men started collecting and the cafes opened around 8 for breakfast!!
There is nothing in the hotel apart from the rooms and the bar. There are better hotels that are just as central but would at least give the option of a room towards the back for some quiet if you required it.
Be forewarned. For €99 I would expect a lot more.
