The rooms are on par with about any other hotel we stayed at in terms of cleanliness and quality, however the main draw for this hotel is the staff.
Here's a few examples. I'm a Newfoundlander (East Coast of Canada) and driving on the left is a new experience for me, getting around the country, not so bad, but once in a city, it gets intimidating. We pulled up in front of the door and one of the staff came out and brought our luggage in and then jumped in the car with me to get me to the car park. I asked him to drive seeing as I wasn't sure about the area. I bumped into him many times through our stay, a great fellow, I think his name was Pavel, but I'm not sure.
The bar staff are SUPER friendly, say hello to Roonan at the bar for sure! Busy as bee's but super friendly.
We were going down to the center of town for dinner one evening, when we asked the girl at the front desk to call us a cab. She offered up the hotel limo for a complimentary ride down. She sent us into the bar for a drink to wait the 15 minutes for it to show up. After about 25, we were getting hungry and it was getting late so we went to check on it, she informed us that the limo was dealyed due to an accident further out, so we said that's fine a cab was our initial plan so she rang us one.
When the cab showed up, she rushed out before us, paid for the cab, and I do believe she covered our two beers at the bar. She was so apologetic for the delay, which really only set us back 20 minutes or so. We didn't have reservations, so we were in no hurry..
We ate at the hotel restaurant one evening and had some of the best mushroom risotto I have ever tasted. Great food, and a good deal for those staying there.
At any rate, the staff here make the stay for sure! The included breakfast is a welcome, delicious treat for sure. Top notch service for sure! Highly recommended!
