The staff at Ashling were incredibly patient and kind and assisted us with every detail of what we needed during our stay in Dublin. As an LGBT group with a baby, we were worried about all the possible outcomes of a stay in a B&B. But we had nothing to worry about. The service was fantastic, they were so helpful, there was always some food and drink available which is VERY important to me and to many folks with blood sugar issues and babies! They totally went above and beyond the call of duty to be of assistance. And the place was so clean I almost couldn't believe it! Spotless. And everything smelled wonderful.
The only downsides:
The room I had was right off the street so it was quite noisy with all the traffic going by. But most of the rooms are not located as such.
The breakfast was just a choice of cold cereals, low-fat yogurt, scones, rolls, bread, cheese and sliced ham every day. No cooked meals. Although the scones and rolls were hot. And you could microwave your sandwich.
There was always water, coffee, tea, apple and orange juice available. Along with butter, jelly, sugar etc... and you can use the dining room whenever you want it... any time of day.
