“Lovely B&B run by charming people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2009

A friend and I spent a weekend in Dublin at Ashling House. It and its sister b&b Azalea Lodge were both recommended on Trip Advisor, I stayed for 5 days in Azalea and the weekend in Ashling. In Ashling we had a twin room on the ground floor which was far better than 90% of hotels I have stayed in. Spotless bathroom, really well equipped room with double doors onto the terrace, we felt like we had our own suite. Very good continental breakfasts with great bread selection. Ashling House is in a beautiful building, and the rooms are spotless - snowy white bedding and towels, efficient, friendly staff. The gardens are as well kept as the house, I would recommend either B&B to anyone staying in Dublin - near to both airport and City, easy transport connections, good value for money and well run B&Bs with welcoming, friendly owners.

“A nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2009

Ashling House is a nice place to stay in Dublin. The rooms are a bit small, including the bathroom, and but still clean and comfortable. At my arrival I was welcomed by the owner who was very helpful in explaining how to reach the city centre, which is actually very close and reachable by bus in about 20 minutes. It is also handy as it is on the way to the airport. Breakfast is very good, with delicious bread and a variety of other things.

“Service above and beyond”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 April 2009

I stayed over a weekend at the Ashling house. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I am living in the USA and was treated like family by Mary B, Ber and Padraic. The Irish breakfast was fantastic. I was able to have a snack/coffee at any time during the day. It is a cost effective way of living the high life in a comfortable setting close to the airport, shops and restraunts. The weather was good and I was able to sit in the beautiful garden of the Ashling and relax with my coffee. Thank you one and all for a great weekend. I will be back!!

“Excellent place - definately recommend if you are in Dublin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 April 2009

We stayed over a weekend with family. The manager Mary and the owners Bernadette and Padraig could not have been nicer or more accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was perfect. Everything was available to you. The home cooking was wonderful.
Thank you so much for everything.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. I was traveling alone and had a single room. It had a double bed, and was not large, but roomy enough. I checked out a room that opened onto the garden - it was a nice size. The breakfast was good - cereals, toast, rools, ham, cheese. The breakfast room and attached front room were roomy and inviting. The location was great - not near much but right on the bus line both to the airport and downtown. Like someone else mentioned, there is a great Chinese restaurant down the street and there is also a little shop for sodas, chips, etc. The staff was very nice and accomodating. The garden in back was very nice, though I didn't spend any time in it.
