I have just returned from a 4 night stay with my husband at Azalea Lodge. This is an excellent B&B about 10 minutes from the main city centre of Dublin.

We arrived early morning and were offered a breakfast which we declined as we had eaten at the airport but we accepted coffee which came with biscuits and homemade scones.

Our room was huge and immaculate. Bernadette and Padraig are wonderful hosts and always on hand to give tips and recommendations for places to visit and where to eat.

The breakfasts are fantastic. There is cereal and fruit, toast, homemade scones and muffins and a full irish breakfast. Its a great way to set you up for the day ready for a day around Dublin.

The breakfast room is welcoming and has two sofas for relaxing in and enjoying a cup of tea or coffee from the supplies left on the coffee table for you to help yourself. There is also a selection of guide books which you can borrow and leaflets which can be picked up.

We would definitely return to Azalea Lodge on a return trip to Dublin and would recommend anyone to visit there. If you want a home away from home, you can't get more relaxed than here.

Azalea Lodge is rated as the number 1 B&B in Dublin on Tripadvisor - and quite rightly so!! Go on - book a stay here, you won't regret it!!

We booked 3 rooms for my family (in-laws, father and husband & myself) to enjoy a rugby weekend (Ireland v Wales). You cannot fault Bernadette and Padraig's hospitality, from their advice prior to arriving, to the AMAZING breakfasts, home baked scones, cakes and comfortable rooms. The B&B is in a perfect location, far enough away from the hustle bustle city centre but close enough for a bus ride into the centre or a 25 mins walk if you feel energetic, and a number of pubs and restaurants nearby. I can recommend Fagans pub, Il Corvo Italian and Starry Kitchen Chinese. Whilst the Welsh rugby team did not pull out all of the stops, Azalea Lodge certainly did, so our trip will be memorable more for the hospiatality than for the Welsh rugby performance! You must choose Azalea Lodge for your stay in Dublin, we will certainly return.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights at the Azalea Lodge. After reading the reviews
on Trip Advisor, our expectations were high. We were not disappointed. We
stayed in Room 1 -- away from the street; it was quiet. Padraig and Bernadette
were friendly and very happy to help us with booking our train trip to the West.
Azalea Lodge breakfasts are beyond compare. We tried it all (except the puddings)
and the food was scrumptious. The location is just far enough from the center
of Dublin to be not hectic, yet a very short bus ride from where all the 'action' is.
The only negative for us was that the room was a bit chillier than we are accustomed to, however we do live in Arizona and it was about 25 degrees F at night in Dublin. Plenty
of warm bedding and extra blankets worked just fine.
Azalea Lodge is affordable and a real bargain!

Upon my arrival to Azalea Lodge I was presented with warm scones and tea. What a warm welcome . I had an amazing time in Dublin. I had a problem with a taxi that over charged and Padraig took it upon himself to drive me to verify the long route by the taxi. He notified the taxi regulation and in turn I received a refung through Azalea Lodge for the trip. Thank you to Padraig and Bernadette for your hospitality during my stay in Dublin. I would stay at Azalea Lodge again my next trip to Dublin.
