“Hidden Treasure - What a Gem!”

It was our pleasure and fortune to stay at Egans House on a recent family trip to Dublin. We arrived during the worst winter snowfall recorded for the past 100 years and had our travelling plans touring around Ireland abruptly changed because of the inclement weather conditions. We were only too happy to return to Egans House for the remainder of our holiday - It was unanimous!

Egans House was a delightful surprise on our first night when we arrived. Upon arrival the staff were helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Egan House is maintained to a very high standard by the owner who is always busy with something around the property. There is a wonderful restaurant just around the corner 1 minute away.

Egans House has a homely atmosphere. At the front of the hotel were 2 Lounge rooms with plenty of lounge seating, tea and coffee making facilites, DVD player and TV, a piano for the guests (which we used) a computer for the guests to collect their mail and surf the internet if they wanted at no charge to the guests. Each morning we woke up to a daily newspaper, full Irish Buffet Breakfast - which we all enjoyed before going out touring each day. There was plenty of parking for hire cars at the front of the property.

We had a wonderful stay and thankyou for giving us that wonderful and famous Irish hospitality.
I highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and me stayed 2 times in this beautiful guest house and we found great.
The location is amazing..just 5 minute by bus to the city center and in one of the most beautiful residential area of Dublin, Drumcondra.
The service is excellent and every morning you will start your day having a full irish breakfast.
Egan's is equipped with a very strong wireless broadband to use your device and offers you 24h free computer in the lounge.
You will definetely enjoy your time in Dublin.

“Good Breakfast, a Little Out of the Way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2009

My boyfriend and I landed in Dublin early in the morning. When we got to Egan’s House, it was only 10:30 AM or 11 AM. We were allowed to check in early. Although there were only 2 of us, we had a huge room, with 3 twin size beds and a full size bed. The facilities are adequate, but the location is a bit out of the way. We walked for 30 minutes to reach the city center (or 10 minutes by bus). It cost us about 50 euros for 1 night. This price included a full breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was the best part of our stay. It was in a newly renovated dinning room and there were a good selection of items. The property has free internet and free parking.

“Fine Guesthouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2009

Stayed two nights. Room tidy, clean and soundproof. Enjoyed our stay there. My friend liked the Irish breakfast very much but I did not like it at all, cheap food, nothing personal about your breakfast experience. Buses very close by too. Had a free parking space off the road, but would be concerned about busy times...not too many parking spaces. Free internat and nice sitting room to relax and watch telly in was very nice also.

“Our stay at Egan's made our trip to Dublin all we hoped it would be!”

This guesthouse was absolutely wonderful! This was my first trip to Ireland and my teenage son and daughter and my 7 year old daughter were with me. Even before we left Aberdeen, Manon, one of the receptionists had emailed me with details of how to get from Dublin airport to the guesthouse and could not have been more helpful.

The room was beautifully clean with a great supply of fresh towels every day and was very comfortable indeed. The staff were friendly, helpful and made staying at Egan's an absolute pleasure. The breakfast was plentiful and varied - bacon, sausages, baked beans, black and white pudding, eggs (boiled, scrambled or fried) cereals, toast. yogurts and fruit juices........we never felt hurried and the pace of life in Egan's was so relaxed.

A beautiful lounge with free Internet access, television, newspapers - definitely a home from home.

I would recommend Egan's to anyone travelling to Dublin and will certainly be returning there very soon!
