“Great Stay”

This is a good hotel. Stayed for 2 nights in a triple room for £170, great value and really good room with four beds and good breakfast. Its not far to Dublin either, not as close as some but easy to get a bus or taxi. The reception sells bus tickets and a taxi from town cost us about 14 euros. The hotel is in a lovely area with some amazing houses, plus if you turn left on the main road you get to a great pub, the Porterhouse.

Dublin is very expensive, we paid on average 6-7 euros for a pint of, including Guiness. Highlights are the Guiness tour, the old Goal, Temple Bar and the Book of Kells.

“Loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2009

We really enjoyed our stay at Egan's. The reception staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly, nothing was any trouble. The breakfast staff were full of smiles and cooked our eggs to order and the choice in the buffet was great. The room was clean, quite small and rather warm, but we could open a window easily enough. Just loved the old style feel it had, and the area it's in is beautiful with lots trees displaying autumn leaves. Thank's Egan's for a great stay

“Egan's House - the perfect home from home feeling of comfort and care but with all the privacy you want.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2009

I stay at Egan's House on a regular basis as I am always welcomed by friendly, efficient staff to comfortable accommodation and facilities. I have tried many other hotels in Dublin but Egan's is the place for me and my colleagues.

“A great discovery. I wouldn't think twice if I ever come back to Dublin.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2009

The hotel is located in a quiet, residencial area. It is not at walking distance from the city center, but there are frequent bus services back and forth. Ours was a family room, with two double and two single beds, TV, and private bathroom. Breakfast was abundant and varied. Overall, an excellent place to stay!

“A friendly and warm welcome”

Dolly the receptionist on my arrival was friendliness and helpfullness itself! Nothing was too much trouble and she continued to be so during my stay. The other receptionists were just as kind and helpful.

My single room was small, cosy, newly decorated and well equipped with iron and ironing board, tv, hairdryer and a built in shower room.

The whole feel of the guesthouse is welcoming and relaxing - I felt right at home.

Lovely breakfasts and dining room staff are quick and efficient.

Bus service from guesthouse to centre is frequent and bus stop just a few minutes' walk from guesthouse. It takes approx 10 mins to get right to centre of town. If you like to walk, it's easy to find your way there and it takes approx 30 - 40 mins.
