“A friendly and warm welcome”

Dolly the receptionist on my arrival was friendliness and helpfullness itself! Nothing was too much trouble and she continued to be so during my stay. The other receptionists were just as kind and helpful.

My single room was small, cosy, newly decorated and well equipped with iron and ironing board, tv, hairdryer and a built in shower room.

The whole feel of the guesthouse is welcoming and relaxing - I felt right at home.

Lovely breakfasts and dining room staff are quick and efficient.

Bus service from guesthouse to centre is frequent and bus stop just a few minutes' walk from guesthouse. It takes approx 10 mins to get right to centre of town. If you like to walk, it's easy to find your way there and it takes approx 30 - 40 mins.

“Cozy B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2009

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B. The staff was very friendly, the rooms cozy, and the morning breakfast was bounitful. We highly recommend staying here. As an added bonus it's not very far from the city center and the price is right.

“hotelroom for hostelprice in nice old setting and pleasant location for car en city-centre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2009

This was our best stay in Ireland. A real old pleasant guesthouse in a nice quiet area.Very easy to reach by own car. Drop your car on the save parkingplace of Egans House and walk (30min) or go by bus (10 min, 1,60) to the city centre. Very good service for a hostelprice!

“A delightful place with friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2009

The receptionists are an absolute delight. They were extremely gracious and helpful and went out of their way to see how they could make our visit even more fun with no hassles. Dolly was especially great!

The Irish Breakfast was a full and generous meal with something for everyone in the family -- they even cook eggs to order!

The rooms are a bit small, but adequate and clean and we will come back again.

“Comfortable, nice people and near the Botanic Garden”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2009

Egan's House is very comfortable and the service is excellent. The people working there are all very nice and it changes from big impersonal hotels. It is well located (only 10 minutes by bus from the centre, and 10 minutes by foot from the Botanic Garden) and the neighbourhood is very calm.
