Without a doubt, the Rural Pub Tour was the highlight of my recent trip to Ireland!!! To get the real Irish pub experience when staying in Dublin, you MUST get out of Temple Bar which is crowded with tourists (I, of course, being one of them!)...and I couldn't have imagined a better way to do it than with tour guide Shane and our driver John- two of the nicest people I met on my England/Ireland adventure. We did the Dublin Mountain Pub Tour on a Friday night and visited 3 great pubs on a short drive out of town- The Blue Light, Johnnie Fox's, and The Merry Ploughboy. We were lucky enough to enjoy live Irish music at Fox's and Ploughboy. Shane was always around to check on us, and It was great to finally mix with the locals and spend time in a place that was actually filled with more Irish folk than tourists. Not only that, but drinks were cheaper than in town, and we were entertained and in great company from start to finish. I cannot recommend Shane and his tours any more highly! Simply awesome!

I was in Dublin last weekend and had a great time, however, this trip without a doubt made the weekend! The one thing I wanted to do was show my English friends the 'real' Ireland because Temple Bar is a complete tourist trap and does not reflect the Ireland I grew up in! This trip gave a nice taste of rural Ireland without going too far from Dublin City. Shane was very friendly and great craic! Without a doubt would recommend this trip!

We had so much fun on the pub tour. We organised a group from our office to head out on the pub tour in a private bus. All the pubs are great fun and offer a traditional Irish feel to them. We were escourted into and out of every pub and were looked after very well. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, so much fun and something out of the ordinary!

We stopped in Ireland for 3 days prior to a Transatlantic tour. We found the Rural Pub Tour information online and decided to take the tour. Shane and Mitch were absolutely amazing we had the best time. I don't really drink but went along for the tour and had a wonderful time. Everyone was so friendly they made you feel at home. We visited several countries along our trip but non were as inviting as those in Ireland. To be honest we opted to fly into Dublin because it was cheaper than flying directly into London. We all had such a WONDERFUL time in Ireland that we are going back!!!
We highly recommend this tour you will have a great time. Thank you Shane for making our trip the trip of a lifetime we will never forget. We will make it back to Ireland one day and we will look you up!!
