“We were made to feel like royalty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

We had arranged to visit Harvey's Point to celebrate our first anniversary and from the moment we stepped over the threshold everything about Harvey's Point made this an extra special trip. On check in, the reception staff were extremely courteous and friendly, a perception which was enhanced when we were offered a complimentary upgrade from our deluxe suite to a penthouse suite. The staff throughout are extremely friendly, attentive and polite without being intrusive - a very careful balance to get right. We dined in the bar on the first night and were very happy with our fish and chips. Breakfast in the morning was the perfect start to the day with all tastes catered for and the best scrambled eggs we've ever had. On the second night we had dinner in the main restaurant, which was also delicious. There were two weddings in the hotel on the Saturday but we would never have realised if it weren't for the signage in reception directing the guests. We had a slightly stressful moment when we got a puncture returning to the hotel on the Saturday afternoon, but again, the reception staff were extremely helpful in identifying a suitable tyre mechanic who had the whole issue resolved within an hour and a half. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough, even with the comedy "bog water" - but I'm sure somebody else will already have mentioned this in a review elsewhere.

“My favorite hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2010

Harvey's Point is a beautiful hotel with a view to match. Have stayed there 3 times in the last 2 years and never get sick of staying there. The service in the hotel is brilliant. The rooms are huge with lovely bathrooms. Breakfast is very good. The only negative comment we had was the last time we stayed there we ate in the Steakhouse restaurant and the service was very slow. This will not stop us from staying again and hopefully it will be soon.

“Harvey's Point really lives up to it's promise of comfort & good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2010

Rarely does any business match their advertisements with the 'real deal' - Harvey's Point lives up to it's promise of comfort, good food, welcoming staff and a most enjoyable opportunity to 'get away from it all'. Set in beautiful Donegal, this hotel offers it's guests an experience to match the surroundings. Will definitely be making a return visit

“This hotel really is top class and what good service should be.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We stayed in one of the premium rooms which was pure luxury and made up for the grey overcast skies outside. The food is excellent both in the restaurant and the bar and the service brilliant from start to finish. There are nice walks around the lake from the hotel and a lovely blue stack mountain drive too which is lovely...definetly bring the camera! The hotel is well situated for scenic drives and walks. They also do mini break packages with a variety of activities to choose from at a reasonable price too. I do hope to stay there again in the future. If you visit this hotel prepared to be spoiled.

“We loved it.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

Harvey's Point was truly a home from home. The deluxe room was just lovely, comfortable, very spacious and so relaxing. The food was gorgeous, the lounge & dining room were both very enjoyable. And the staff were also lovely.
The only thing we missed was a gym but in saying that the surroundings around Lough Eske truly made up for it. There were plenty of walks and track for jogging. We also climbed Slieve Ligue - great views.
Would recommend it highly but would suggest 3 nights to stay as we came from Clare - you need that time. Enjoy!
