“Wonderful people and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2009

Mike and Jill were lovely hosts. Sadly they are selling..

Mike, Jill and the cats made us feel very welcome. The ducks were aloof. The little touches such as the personalised breakfast menus were delightful. Mike even found a book of local history from his library which my wife devoured as she was researching both her and my family histories - her family had some connection with the local area.

The only downer as with many places in the UK is the plumbing. Oh what to do for a decent high pressure shower! However, this is a minor quibble, we would definitely stay again.

“Fantastic in every way.”

No hesitation in recommending this B&B. Very welcoming with personal touches to surprise you. Mike and Jill went out of their way to make a nostalgic trip back to the north east really special for us.

“The Best Bed and Breakfast we have ever visited.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2009

We spent two days in Greenbraes for a family funeral, we were given a great welcome and made to feel at home, we felt relaxed and the breakfasts were out of this world, with so many choices, thank you Jill and Mike for making us feel so welcome. The personal touch was the breakfast menu's they had our individual names on, we commented on our favourite place 'the Bullers of Buchan' and that was on the back of the menu the next day, what a personal touch that was, also the weather forecast for the area. Both Jill and Mike were very knowledgeable of the area and traditions. We have have told all our friends and would recommend a stay at Greenbraes to anyone stopping in the Buchan are. The rooms were modern, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. Thanks!

“Wonderful B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2009

A parrot in a huge cage with lots of fascinating toys, and boxes it likes to hide in, two shiny friendly black cats, beautiful light, uncluttered and airy breakfast room with views stretching miles to the horizon, perfect mushrooms for breakfast and home-made bread toasted, gorgeous sausage and black pudding, lots of fresh orange juice, such interest in us and concern for us. It was my birthday and I got a personalised Happy Birthday breakfast menu, then Mike gave me a present of a card-framed picture of puffins. The bedroom had luxurious silky spotless curtains, the en suite was delightful, chrome and glass and tiles highly polished, quite immaculate, we were welcomed with a cafetiere of coffee when we arrived, shown all over, the happy parrot's room, the busy office with piles of papers, the airy sunny sitting room, outside were home-grown vegetables. The bedroom had slidey french windows easy to open. I felt Mike and Jill were truly caring, loving and honest people.

“Excellent friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2009

From the time the booking process was handled efficiently to our departure from the B&B, everything was handled in a fully professional and friendly manner.
The care taken over breakfast - from personalised menus to home made porridge with rhubard - was outstanding.
