“Best boutique B&B in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2010

Absolutely beautiful decor in bedrooms, thick carpet, incredibly comfy bed and pillows, super shower, steam iron, safe, hairdryer, flat screen freeview telly, Everything throughout was spotlessly clean. What more could you want? Oh yes, delicious breakfast, they even toasted my wheaten bread for me! Really helpful, delightful staff too. Just a little point, although I am not a fan of "nets" , maybe it would be worth putting them in rooms with acres of windows. I felt somewhat visible through the almost wall to wall windows during daylight hours in my room, as many of the houses, including opposite, have been converted into student flats (Tara is very near the university). The hotel is easy 5-8 min walk from the train/bus station, Late opening food, snack, drinks etc shops, oodles of coffee shops and restaurants all aroundand Ulster Museuam just up the street. Can thoroughly recommend Moghul restaurant at the end of Cromwell Road too. Felt safe at all times.

“Pleasant stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2010

We stayed at room 20 for five days with my wife and everything was excellent, considering
the price. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a small hotel and the personel was very friendly. We would certainly come back if we revesit Belfast.

“Just EXCELLENT! Cannot fault this lovely B & B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2010

I have just returned from a 3 day trip to Belfast with my 8 year old daughter, where I stayed at Tara Lodge. This B & B was excellent in every way! The location was perfect, with just a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre. The accomodation was 1st class - beautifully clean, comfortable and well equipped (VERY comfortable bed, ensuite shower & bath, TV, DVD player, hairdyer, iron.....) The breakfast was also outstanding with lots of choice! My daughter and I opted for the superb cooked breakfast and this was a great way to start the day. All the staff there were extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and polite - it really was a great stay all round. We will definately be returning in the very near future!

Great place to stay friendly helpful staff helped arrange black taxi tour and Titantic tour. Very central location too and we walked every where. Also advised on good places to eat and breakfast was great in the morning. Very reasonably priced too.

“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2010

An excellent hotel and can really understand why it is rated number 1 in Belfast.

Room was very nice - bright, clean and quiet. In fact this was like the hotel all over, as everything was very well maintained and looked like the management and staff wanted to create a nice environment.

The breakfast was out of this world. All very tasty, freshly cooked and presented well. We were served on each of our three mornings by Colin (a real star), and he was only too happy to tweak your order to have your brekfast just how you like it.

The best thing about this hotel, though, was the staff. Each one, without exception, was a credit to the hotel and really went out of their way to make our stay special. For example, on the morning of our checkout, my husband was not feeling very well and stayed in the room. I mentioned this to Colin at breakfast and he told reception, who arranged for us to have an extra hour after the designated check out time. All this was done without us having to ask. We have stayed at 5* hotels where you don't get this level of service.

If you are going to Belfast, look no further than the Tara Lodge.
