“wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2010

Badminton villa is in a convenient location in a beautiful city. the building is a period property and built from local stone-in reply to another reviewer.
we received a very warm welcome, and shown to a beautiful room with its own bathroom, yes the ceiling is low but it adds to the charm. if we wanted a generic, faceless hotel we would have booked a travellodge. our room had everything we could wish for.
the whole house is spotless and the breakfast was a true delight. fresh wild hand picked blackberries, organic yoghurt, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with irish potato cake. my partner had a full english cooked perfectly.
unfortunately we only stayed for one night, but we plan to make a return trip.
having read the reviews on badminton villa before booking i had high expectations and i wasn't disappointed.
and tilly was lovely!

“Bath in style”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2010

Together with our son and his partner, we stayed at Badminton Villa in early July 2010 for two nights. The two day stay was extremely enjoyable. The B&B is located close to the main street of Bath [a good 15 - 20 minute walk] and enjoys views over the greater town area. It is immaculately presented and maintained. Our stay began with a very informative and ultra friendly welcome from co-host Steve. His insights into the town, local restaurants and pubs, and places of interest were invaluable. Breakfast was superb! Co-host Heather made beautiful traditional English breakfast with magnificent variety each morning. The ambience is warm, cosy and relaxed - just what we like. Both Steve and Heather are terrific hosts, and it was a delight to chat to them about their travels, the English way and their experiences of our homeland [Australia]. This is a magnificent B&B. We highly recommend this B&B and suggest you top it off with a super meal at Jamie Oliver's restaurant in Bath.

“Absolutely the best b&b in our 2-weeks trip in UK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2010

As said in the title, this was absolutely the very best place in which we stayed during our 2 weeks of holiday in England+Galles. If it would be possible, I'd give it six stars :-)
I stayed there with two friends and we spent there two nights. We were welcomed by our host, Steve, who was very kind to us in many ways, and immediately gave us a lot of useful information for visiting the city (information of such great value when you don't have many available time but you'd like to see the most possible). Also his wife Heather is a very nice and friendly woman. I have a very good memory of the kindness of this couple.
The Badminton Villa is situated in a very beautiful position too, in the hill area at the south of Bath city center, that is reachable with 15 minutes of walking. From our room window we had a wonderful panorama of the city, really breathtaking.
The room itself was very spacious (for it was a double with a third extra bed), luminous and clean, with ensuite very modern facilities. Breakfast is very rich, and provides a wide choice of fresh fruit, toast and classic jam and marmalade, the inevitable classic full English breakfast (one morning we even eat salmon).
In the entrance hall, there is a laptop with free Internet access for the guests.

“Great rooms and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

We arrived before check-in time but the hosts were friendly and accommodating, nothing was a problem. The room was comfortable and clean, with good amenities. The cooked breakfast was included in the price and was very tasty. Couldn't have asked for more.

“Must be the friendliest hotel in Bath's beautiful city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2010

As we arrived we had a moments doubt as there were (temporary) road works outside.

However once we had walked through the front door that was all quickly forgotten. Steve was very welcoming & explained all the local amenities, places of interest and the local transport network. We were shown to our room which was spacious, well appointed & decorated with a very nicely fitted en suite. There was a superb view down into Bath over the wonderfully stocked & tended terraced garden.

The service we received from Heather & Steve and their staff could not be faulted. Food was served shortly after it was ordered - cooked perfectly from the extensive choice of fare. Nothing was too much trouble, any request or query was swiftly & cheerfully sorted. You always felt that they all thoroughly enjoyed being of service.

We thought that the establishment we visited in Fort William in Scotland was 1st class but Badminton Villa has trumped it in spades! Thank you both for a wonderful long weekend.
