Just returned from a three night stay at Ashley Villa & cannot praise it highly enough.
Very friendly & helpful owners, perfectly clean, warm & comfortable room and very nicely cooked breakfasts everything you want in your accommodation.
Will definitely return to Ashley Villa for any future visits to Bath.
If you're visiting Bath book Ashley Villa, you will not be sorry.

Bath is a very expensive town...and in the weekend it is often heavily booked. We stayed a night at Ashley Villa guest house. I knew that the room we had booked was advertised as "small" but I omitted to look further and discover that the bed was also small. So we had a very uncomfortable night on a bed which was only 4 feet wide.....the other thing to note is that it is quite a long walk from the town centre, although there is a regular bus service in. My advice is; don't stay in Bath central; stay in somewhere nearby like Bradford on Avon, and drive into Bath and park.

Room tip: Book a proper sized room if you are a couple; don't book the small room; it is only a single.

Thank you for your review. In response to the issue with the small bed. We do advertise this on all websites as a Small double with 4ft bed that is suitable for 1 or 2 people. This room is advertised at £10 less than our standard doubles and £20-£30 less than our king size bedroom. It is clearly stated, this gives people a choice and it is good for those wanting to spend less in Bath, we also sell this room regularly for a single person. Price ranges from £69 -£89 - which we feel is an extremely competitive price for a room for two people including full English breakfast and VAT@20%!

My wife and I were struggling to get a room for us and our 3 year old daughter in Bath for the 13/15 Dec weekend. We accidentally found that there was availability at Ashley Villa and so we booked it almost right away. The only major inconvenient is that is a bit far away from the city centre. On the other hand, it allows us to get to sleep away from the noisy mess of the city centre. If you like to walk, in 30 minutes you get there, if not, there are buses and the taxi fare is around 7 pounds.
The house itself is nice and cosy.We got a little twin room on the attic which was nicely decorated, practical and since it was the only room there, we had all the privacy we could wish for. Our daughter loved it but if you're old or you struggle to get up a steep staircase, then maybe better ask for a room on the G/floor our 1st Floor.
Breakfast was good, with cereal, yougurt, juice, fruits, etc... added to the choice of a full english which stuffed us for most of the day.
The room was nice, ensuite with a nice shower and everything you need. Didn't get much contact with the staff but they were approachable and cordial, getting the job done.
Since we had arrived earlier than check in time, we left our bags in the lobby and when we came back in the evening they had placed them in our room.
Overall it was a good weekend and we enjoyed our stay. The price was reasonable and I recommend it. Other pluses: Wifi in rooms and nearby park which our daughter loved.

We went past as we didn't have plans on a place to stay.

The reception by staff was good, she showed us our room options.

I thought the rooms were expensive for a b&b, £89 for a small double but I guess that's standard down south.

Room was relatively clean some parts of bathroom were dirty and carpet felt dirty. Decor was neutral in our bedroom.

The saving grace for this b&b is the breakfast. It was really nice and plenty of choice.

Probably wouldn't stay again but it wasn't bad.

We stayed 5th/6th December for the Bath Christmas market and other attractions. When we arrived the parking was easy plenty of spaces We arrived earlier than anticipated we just thought we would leave car and come back later to check in but when we arrived our room was ready so we were able to check in . Our room was lovely it was bright and spotless with an ensuite . The walk into town took about 20 mins depending on which way you walked we went through the park as we wanted to see the Crescent The Hotel breakfast sets you up for the day a selection of cereals then a full English Breakfast if you wanted more you only had to ask , we didn't as it was sufficient .We couldn't fault our stay the and would stay there again if we went back to Bath great value for money Maria and Tim E

Room tip: We booked ensuite room 6
