We have stayed in a few holiday inns now and have to say that this one was the most disappointing. The staff weren't very welcoming. Had dinner in the hotel the evening we arrived and must say for the price it was bad. The chips were burnt and if you wanted water you had to buy a large bottle for £3. Bit of advice - go across to the cafe in Sainsburys - you get a better meal and they serve til 7pm. That was all they had. We weren't even asked if the meal was okay. Breakfast was mediocre. Cereals weren't labelled, orange juice was like water and the scrambled eggs were smothered in salt. I asked them to activate the telephone in my room for which they took a swipe of a credit card (which was fine) but when I went to use the phone it wouldn't work. I rung down to reception and they said oh the phones aren't working but you can come and use the one in reception!! I declined as I was not wanting to make a private phone call in such a public place. The phones were still not working when I checked out 3 days later. When there are two people staying in a room what's the story with giving them one bath towel? Do they expect you to share? I left breakfast at 9am and asked the staff for an extra towel and they said that they would send it up. by the time I left the hotel at 11am I still hadn't seen an extra towel. On checking out the staff just checked the computer and said that's fine (because I had paid in advance) they didn't even ask if I enjoyed my stay and was everything alright. As I said I have stayed in a few holiday inns before so I know what to expect but I just felt that they were really scrimping here and the level of customer service was bad.

This is one of those places that doesn't really need to be here - but it is.
Last time i came here some years ago it was a bit rough, but now it sits in the middle of a huge sainsburys car park within sight of Walthamstow Dogs (now defunct) handy for Enfield and - erm... well Enfield really.

Bog standard - somewhat overprices hotel with good rooms, quiet at night and a poor version of a continental breakfast - with sausages and powdered eggs on top.

evening meals are available midweek and the one I had was actually ok but they are all from Sainsburys next door I imagine. Buy stuff there and microwave it.

not much else to say - the staff were very nice - most pleasant and efficient, not locals then! handy for buses into London.

i stayed here with my boyfriend and son.. It great location with a bus stop accross from hotel which can take you to sub way. there is also sainsburys behind the hotel which is real handy. there is also a microwave, plates, knives forks, sauces etc... in lobby so you can heat or make whatever you need.. great if you on a budget. Rooms are good size and very clean, staff was friendily and very helpful giving us a map and marking where we are an the bus numbers to get

We stayed here for two nights for a wedding and nearly everything was good, nice clean room, lovely breakfast and a good price, only down side bar prices are too high, if you want a drink go across the road to Sainsburys to get it and have it in your room.
