I booked this hotel very last minute, thought the position was great and it looked good. After I booked it, I read all the reviews on this site.. and there were many, and got increasingly concerned.. a vast proportion of the reviews were terrible, frankly. But I thought, hey ho, I;ve booked it now. The area where this is is just impossibly posh... Tony Blairs London home is a hundred yards away, and, therefore, the street is patrolled by armed police, 24/7. Now, you may hate this idea, but I found it reassuring as a single lady, and they were sweet and friendly, despite the machine guns... the hotel itself was shabby, yes, but for the price I paid, I wasn;t complaining. 3 nights, height of season, in a hotel a stones throw from Hyde Park, with a shower, sky tv, internet access, and breakfast..... £130 all in.... I will definately use it again. The room was clean, and serviced every day. Tiny, yes, I hadn't realised till then exactly how much space a pair of shoes could take up in a room, but, like I say, I'm never going to live there, and it suited me down to the ground.
