“Warm and inviting close to everything!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2010

My husband and I stayed over New Years weekend at Le Refuge B&B. We enjoyed every minute of it. The room we stayed in had great views of the mountain. On New Years eve we watched fireworks from our bedroom window! Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern with a fatastic showerhead.

The B&B is nicely decorated with original artwork throughout. I loved the stained glass pieces. Waking up to yummy breakfasts each morning.

The owner of Le Refuge made us feel right at home. He always pointed out great places to dine and activities to do. We were able to enjoy an afternoon of snow shoeing based on his recomendation.

Mont Tremblant is on my top list of places to visit during the winter months. There's so much to do. Skiing on the mountain costs about $80 a day for lift ticket and well worth it. There's a ton of trails on two sides of the mountain. Dog sleding was fun too. Diable adventures did an outstanding job. We got to help get the dogs ready for sleding. The best part of the excursion was getting to drive the sled.

For dinner check out Nelly O'conner Irish pub in the village. At the resort area we enjoyed Spag&Co, family style Italian.

“Could not find a better place to relax!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2009

We went in Mont Tremblant for an emergency 48hrs relaxation time. We could not asked for more when we arrived at the refuge. The place is design and decorated with a great sense of calm and space. From our room, the light and the view on the montain was gorgeous and really predisposed us to zone out of our daily concerns. Then this state was maintained by tons of little attentions that make our stay unforgettable (beautiful bathroom with a shower that is an experience on its own, exquisite breakfast and nice living room with a fire place).
Robert, the owner, really represents the spirit of this place, proposing us nice activities and restaurants to go, but at the same time very discrete and sensitive to our needs.
Knowing how Mont Tremblant extensively expend in the past years, we were quite worried about finding a nice and down to earth place to stay, the refuge was exactly what we were looking for, adding this place to the fact that you are in the Laurentians facing a magnificent montain we really would not ask for more.

“This is an outstanding B&B with an exceptional host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2009

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Refuge for 3 nights and would definitely return. Robert, the B&B owner, was a fantastic host who immediatelymade us feel welcomed and right at home. The dining room had a fridge where we could keep beverages or food, and there was always hot water available. Most important tho was Robert's willingness to offer suggestions for walks, biking, sightseeing. I wanted to go for a pre-breakfast walk and his recommendation was perfect! And the breakfasts.....delicious! They included an appetizer such as yogurt with fresh fruit, and a main course such as thick slices of french toast covered with fresh fruit (strawberries, cantaloupe, banana, pineapple) or crepe hollandaise with ham and 3 cheeses. Each course was elegantly presented. The home is spotless, cheerful, tastefully decorated and a bonus is that each room has a computer. We have traveled extensively and feel that Robert is the perfect host...helpful, and friendly but allowing his guests their privacy.

“Beautiful house, great host.. would stay there again in a heartbeat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2009

My partner and I stayed at Le Refuge on a Saturday night in early October. The house is set in landscaped gardens and looked stunning with the autumn colours surrounding the house.

The B&B's own website has plenty of detailed info on the accommodation, the surroundings and how to find your way there (very easy to find and plenty of parking space). What the website can't show you is how much character there is in the house. Robert has filled his home with stylish and interesting furniture and objects and even has some of his own skilfully crafted stained glass on show.

We stayed in the Mountain room which was very clean and beautifully presented. It has an air con unit, ceiling fan, heater, TV, PC and DVD player (with a selection of French & English films available free at reception) and a balcony with a view across to Tremblant village. The only potential issue I could see with the room was that the highest windows don't have curtains, so if you have trouble sleeping in a light room you might want to request another one.

The spacious private bathroom was opposite the bedroom (rather than en-suite) and was also beautifully furnished with a free-standing victorian style roll top bath and separate rain shower. There are toiletries, tissues, a hairdryer and big fluffy towels.

There is also a spacious lounge room with a roaring fire, TV, CD player and big comfy sofas on the first floor available for guests to use.

Breakfast at Le Refuge was as good as described by the other reviewers. My partner and I are both vegetarian but this didn't cause any issues and Robert was happy to accommodate us. Veggie food is quite hard to find in this part of QC but there are a few options (mostly in Tremblant village). We ate at the nearby Irish pub (35 min walk from the B&B or 5 min drive) and were pleasantly surprised by their pasta with freshly made sauces.

I can't fault Le Refuge at all. If we visit Mont Tremblant again we will definitely be back!
