My partner and I stayed at Le Refuge on a Saturday night in early October. The house is set in landscaped gardens and looked stunning with the autumn colours surrounding the house.
The B&B's own website has plenty of detailed info on the accommodation, the surroundings and how to find your way there (very easy to find and plenty of parking space). What the website can't show you is how much character there is in the house. Robert has filled his home with stylish and interesting furniture and objects and even has some of his own skilfully crafted stained glass on show.
We stayed in the Mountain room which was very clean and beautifully presented. It has an air con unit, ceiling fan, heater, TV, PC and DVD player (with a selection of French & English films available free at reception) and a balcony with a view across to Tremblant village. The only potential issue I could see with the room was that the highest windows don't have curtains, so if you have trouble sleeping in a light room you might want to request another one.
The spacious private bathroom was opposite the bedroom (rather than en-suite) and was also beautifully furnished with a free-standing victorian style roll top bath and separate rain shower. There are toiletries, tissues, a hairdryer and big fluffy towels.
There is also a spacious lounge room with a roaring fire, TV, CD player and big comfy sofas on the first floor available for guests to use.
Breakfast at Le Refuge was as good as described by the other reviewers. My partner and I are both vegetarian but this didn't cause any issues and Robert was happy to accommodate us. Veggie food is quite hard to find in this part of QC but there are a few options (mostly in Tremblant village). We ate at the nearby Irish pub (35 min walk from the B&B or 5 min drive) and were pleasantly surprised by their pasta with freshly made sauces.
I can't fault Le Refuge at all. If we visit Mont Tremblant again we will definitely be back!
