This hotel was recommended by the Ontario Tourist Bureau on the corner of Stanley and hy 420. The deal was $79. plus tax for one night for a queen or king size, not knowing the area we took it. Very polite and courtesy desk people.. Asked the lady at the counter as I was checking in its a queen or king size..Yes sire it's a queen size room. Great. went to the room very clean, double size bed, missing a face cloth and hand towel in bathroom (not a big deal). It was clean and everything worked. But I always had the impression a Queen or King size meant the size of the bed not the size of the room. It was comfortable .

I was hesitant to choose this hotel because of the mixed reviews but booked the honeymoon suite because we got a great deal through Orbitz. You get what you pay for. First, the jaquoozi was really just a tub with jets, which would have been fine, except there was no shower. It did have a shower head on the hose, if that floats your boat. No grout around the tub, just a adhesive strip that no longer stuck. Not really a problem, just sloppy looking. Our room phone didn't work, and the peephole was just a brass tube in the door that we could literally pull out. The room was dated. Old bed, cheap towels, and the fact that we could hear every footstep above and below our room, kind of made the place not worth it to us. Make sure to NOT use the garage, but use the gravel lot next to the hotel. But be careful exiting and entering it if your car is low to the ground. The garage is too small, and I have a tiny Honda! We also had to ask for a room cleaning on our third day because no one came. The night before that, I had to go ask for towels and toilet paper! Listen, the only good thing was it's location, but there must be a hundred hotels in the area that you could try instead. It definitely did not ruin our vacation because we had a blast, but we will forever mock our first vacation together as the one with the crappy room. If we didn't pay about $69 a night, I would have spoken to management. Try somewhere better.

The staff was very nice but the motel(not hotel) and rooms are a joke. Charged $$ for incidentals that I never approved or told upfront The room was not cleaned very well before we checked in and not done very well during our stay. Only one ice machine which was located in the lobby. Towels and beds very cheap. The room we stayed in didn't even have the carpet tucked in at the wall...just flipped up. Halls had moldy/doggy smell. Walls thin. I could go on and on...just Don't waste your money!

I stayed in Glengate Hotel for 3 nights and it was really a good experience, very comfortable, rooms were very clean and nice service. I recommend to everybody go to this Hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Parking is free and its only 15 to 10 minutes walk to falls.

I agree with most of the other reviews in regards to the customer service - it was courteous and efficient. Nothing was wrong with the hotel, there just wasn't anything special about it.. Our room which was supposed to have a king size bed and a refrigerator was a single queen room with no refrigerator. Very few frills - one bar of soap in the bathroom, no facial tissue. On the plus side, the rooom was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was fairly comfortable. Not a bad place to stay for one night, but if I were staying longer, I'd stay at another property closer to downtown.
