I understand the hotel is undergoing renos, as they are muchly needed. The rooms (currently) are a true blast from the past and showing lots of wear and tear.
Pros: -Staff was awesome, all of them were very helpful and caring. Kudos to them
-The gym wasn't your typical hotel gym - it is HUGE and has EVERYTHING.
-Beds and pillows are great. Awesome sleep.
Cons: -The room, like I stated above..it was similar to walking into an early 90s time capsule.
- WIFI is a joke. (no conference room wifi unless it was paid for, even though we had already paid for in room wifi...go figure)
- Post hotel dealings...My room and taxes were set up to go to a master account (ie: to be charged to my employer's credit card) However, the hotel charged my room and taxes to my credit card (opps) I rarely look over my credit card bill but I am glad I did this time. I called the hotel once, they said their accounting people where gone and I have to call back later (long distance call number one) so I called back the next day (long distance call number two) and finally got someone, who just took down my name and number and said they would get back to me. Two days later, not hearing from them nor seeing any changes on my bill I called them back (LD call number 3) They said its been fixed (fingers crossed..)...It seems like this process took way longer than it should have.
Overall, good stay. I'd recommend it...just watch your credit card statement post-stay!!!
Get a room that is post reno!!
