“The best BNB in Ireland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2008

This is the prettiest house, the most unique furnishings, the best breakfast, the biggest room, the nicest hosts, and the best value of any bnb in Ireland. First, you get a menu for breakfast, of like five or six options. You get information from people familiar with the best routes on Dingle and Ring of Kerry - and you are smack dab in the middle of both. Second, the hosts are very friendly and make conversation. Jerry is the kind of guy you would meet in a bar and talk about sports or politics with, he is a good regular guy and a gracious host. Phena pays attention to detail in the cleanliness and presentation of her BNB more than anyone I have seen. Even their young kids are taught to present themselves in a friendly and non-obtrusive way. If you are in West Ireland, remember the wild colonial boy from the town of castlemaine, and go here. You will not be disappointed.

  • Liked — Their extreme helpfulness and easy-going demeanor. These are nice people.
  • Disliked — I did not like the bright hallway lights with a timer. I am kind of light sensitive.

“Simply The Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2008

My wife and I spent 5 nights at Phenas. It was one of 5 bed and breakfasts we stayed at during our tour and exceeded our expectations. The room we had was huge, with a walk-in wardrobe, comfortable bed, great shower and so quiet. Phena Gerry and family made us welcome on arrival and served almost anything you could wish for, for breakfast. We sampled most of the breakfast menu during our stay and particularly liked the scrambled egg on smoked salmon. The position of the house is ideal for touring the ring of Kerry and Killarney. You couldnt wish for a better B+B if you tried. Apart from the comforts of our stay: what marked them out from the rest was the friendliness of the family. We feel they were simply the Best.

“Absolutely Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2007

My wife and I have travelled over 50 times to Europe but never stayed in a B&B until this, our first trip to Ireland. We booked vouchers for farmhouse B&B's through the Irish Tourist office and picked Tom & Eileens Farm as our first stop. What a surprise! The home is beautiful and kept better than most 3/4 star hotels--our usual choice. Phena and Gerry Buckley are the epitome of the perfect hosts. After 5 minutes you feel as if you are staying with friends.
I would highly recommend their B&B to anyone. We loved it so much when we go back we will stay there again.

“A great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2006

This B&B was a consensus favorite of seven we stayed in on our recent trip to ireland. The facilities, breakfast and atmosphere were excellent. The Buckley family personality added a warm touch of Ireland that no other stay could match.
