“My detailed experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 May 2009

When I arrived at this hotel the receptionist spoke a little English and was really helpful. Everytime I needed a taxi, shed call for one and well just helped out with little things.

THE HOTEL: had a bar downstairs which not many people used, it looked nice though. My room was nice, good for what I paid. It was clean, the bathroom was also very clean. I had a nice balcony with sea view, it was great to watch the sunrise and sunset there. The bars on the balcony were kind of rusty but who cares? I wasnt paying 5 star rate.
There isnt a swimming pool and no breakfast. They do have the internet but you have to pay for it and youre on a time limit and its a bit over-priced.
The Location: The hotel was in what seemed like a run down area. Its a pretty ugly looking hotel from the out side and when you walk out of it, it smells like fish. Theres lots of cats around this hotel but hey, they keep the mice away. Just a 2 minute walk and youre by the tennis courts. Everything very close to the hotel (within a ten min walk) such as restaruants didnt have a great atmosphere and there was just nothing to do nearby.

ROOM SERVICE: If youre hungry, dont buy anything from the hotel room service, the food is rubbish..serious waste of money. Theres a little super market close to the hotel, id go there and buy some salad/crisps/chocolates instead.

THE BEACH: it is small and its about a 20 minute walk away and its worth walking there because youre walking alongside the coast and mountains. The beach is near many restaurants including mcdonalds and burger king.

This hotel is good to stay in if you want to take a decent break in a quiet area. If you want to do any activities or visit other places such as Benidorm Zoo then you can walk to the trams or take a taxi to the close parks and castles.
Over all things could have been better but it was worth the money I paid. I dont think its a horrible place but I dont think its fantastic either. It will do for those of us who dont spend most of the holiday in the hotel.

“terrible! stay away! ! worst location ever!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2008

We have just returned from this hotel where we stayed for 2 nights in August 2008. We booked it on the hotel website as it said 300m from the beach. 300M FROM A BEACH YOU CANT SWIM IN!!!!! it was all rocks. There was no sand or place you could swim.

Secondly we read there was also a swimming pool only to find out there was no swimming pool on arrival. So the hotel lied about this also. We had to get taxis everywhere. To the beach and into town to get something to eat. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a beach break. There was nothing decent around the hotel and they also make you pay to use the internet. When you walk into the hotel the reception/cafeteria area looks nice but the hotel rooms are also very rundown.

not normally a complainer- Birmingham 12 aug 2008

“Decent budget hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2008

Difficult to find and far out of town but local tram close by.
large room, simple but clean and comfortable more of a motel than hotel.
Staff helpful, we arrived late but they served us pizza and drinks after hours.

“ok hotel for those on a budget”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 April 2008

I was there with a friend and the staff were very helpful and the rooms clean and fresh and spacious. The hotel is located about fifteen mins walk from the city so you have to take the bus into town but it only costs one euro and they go all the time. you have to walk up a steep hill to get to the road where the bus runs from so this hotel will not be good for immobile people such as those in wheelchairs etc. But for us friends 31 years old and fit...no problem and good price for what you got. I could recommend this to others on a budget.

“hated this place”

According to the blurb for this hotel, it is situated next to a sandy beach. There was no beach just rocks where the waves crashed.
We were also promised a courtesy bus to and from alicante town which also didnt materialise, so we had to pay for taxis in and out. The room had air conditioning which blew hot air. The safe could only be opened by inserting a euro coin, in the four days we were there we put in about 12 euro, (non refundable),The staff were unhelpfull and didnt speak english and a drink at the hotel bar went up in price by the minute, ending up at 5 euro for a vodka and 2.75 for a coke. The next time i want to be ripped off I'll stay at home for holdays

  • Liked — the room was cleaned every day thats about the only good thing about it
  • Disliked — no working air conditioning, no mini fridge, too far from anywhere of interest
