We have eaten widely throughout Italy and the meal we had at il Mulino was up there with the best. At 30 euros for the set menu inclusive of wine and water it represents the peak of Italian regional and seasonal cookery. You will need to be prepared to speak Italian and " When in Rome.....!" When presented with the extensive menu at the start of the meal the waiter was at pains to explain that it was not for us to choose from but for information only as all 10+ courses were being served. I think they may have had previous difficulties with English speakers who had not fully understood this concept!! After the meal we had to go into the kitchen to pay where we met the family of cooks relaxing after their exertions "Grandi complimenti agli chef!"
