“Great experience and wonderful stay”

My family and 4 other friends went to Bohol and we stayed is Villa Vidas for 2 nights and it was great experience of staying in this resort. Staff were friendly and accommodating, they provide good service.

At first I was doubtful as we made our booking only through bank transfers since they do not have online booking and also it was my first time to make such bookings. But in ended out good as they quickly responded to my queries until the day of our trip.

The resort - we arrived there late as we have our countryside tour after our touchdown in Bohol where Jorg(their driver) met us. the place is quiet and relaxing, they have billiard table to play on, and the swimming pool is just in front of our doorstep. You can also relax at the hammocks at the beach area. We had good swim and dinner as well their food is good especially the pork adobo and calamares.

The next day was our problem as 2 of my friends wants to experience diving then also wants to join us the island hopping, with Bing-Bing's(the receptionist) assistance all were squeeze in and made it possible. My friends go 1 dive @ balicasag then we meet up with them in the island afterwards to join with us snorkeling and all went well until virgin island. Not only that, I only knew then that the divers boat is not docking on the location we're in and we had no communications with them. I salute to our boatman sailing the maryann and he was so kind that he go and pick up my friends at the divers boat.

You can cook food in the villa but I don't advise as it will only spoil your vacation. The resort got their restaurant good food with a decent price. We were surprise when the bill came out, we spend $50 per meal for the 8 of us so its only $6 per person not bad at all.

I will recommend this resort for those going in groups or family on a budget trip. You can have an great experience without paying much.

Came across Panglao Tropical Villas which I thought would be perfect for me ,my husband and 2 kids ages 13 and 15.After 5 years of not going back to the Philippines.I wanted to pick the place where my husband and I can relax after several years of working in a medical field. And of course wanted to make sure my kids have a good time as well.
I booked Villa Vidas in April. We stayed 4 nights. My kids were so happy with the pool right infront of our villa. It is clean, well maintained and deep compared to other resort pools. The resort offers dolphin watching and snorkleng tours and my kids loved snorkleng at Balicasag island.

My husband and I enjoyed the hammock by the beach and it is so great that there is a free wifi internet.
Villa Vidas has 3 bedrooms which i thought there was only 2.The video on youtube shows 2 bedrooms only.It was good because my 2 teenagers had each own bedroom. The size of the rooms are big and beds are comfortable.

The staff are great.Everytime we asked someone to clean up our Villa they were right there for you."I want to thank all of them especially Melody, she was very helpful to us".
I will recommend this place to anybody who wants to have a great vacation with there family or friends.

“Best vacation we had”

Me and my family were supposed to stay at Linaw Beach Resort but unfortunately it was fully booked. So we decided to choose Tropical Villas after a week of searching in the internet. Thanks to tripadvisor, the reviews helped us a lot to finally decide where to go.

Anyway, its our first time to go to Bohol so we really wanted to pick the best place where
my wife, 3 children, a yaya and my 79 year old mother in law, can enjoy a vacation outside cebu.

The villa we picked has 3 airconditioned rooms and 2 bathrooms on both ground and 2nd floor, a nice kitchen with complete utensils for cooking and its right in front of the swimming pool. The rooms were clean and the 5-8 feet pool including the kiddie pool were clear and properly maintainted. The staff and service was good and the food is ok.
The white sandy beachfront was great and the sea was clear except for dead seaweeds which is actually a minor thing.

My family so much enjoyed it and if we plan to go back to Bohol, we will definitely stay again in this resort.

“It was OK.”

It is with mixed feelings that I write this review.

We stayed at Villa Vidas for 10 days in April 2010. I specifically chose this place as we wanted a whole house, rather than just a hotel room. The reviews on Tripadvisor were great, so we booked it.

Villa Vidas did not look like the pictures I had seen on the resort website. I was actually a little shocked when I walked in the front door as the room I was in was about half the size of what it seems on their website, amazing what a wide angle lense can do!

The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable enough. Linen was changed every 3 days and the Villa serviced daily, which was good. The bathrooms were very basic and no amount of cleaning products could hide the smell of poor sewage systems and tired old plumbing. My kids didn't want to use the bath, or even the shower.....

The kitchen was extremely basic with just a few glasses, coffee cups, one fry pan and some spoons and forks provided (we had to ask for knives!). There was a toaster oven which was very old and could have done with cleaning, a rice cooker and a stove top kettle. We didn't do any cooking other than some toast and coffee so it was just OK for us. One night we saw a huge spider on the wall behind the cooker so we sprayed it with Baygon. This led to an army of equally huge cockroaches marching out from under the stove, about 10 in total....not nice at all.

The photos do not show how close the Villa's are to each other. This was not really a problem until a large group moved in to the Villa next to us. Thankfully they only stayed 2 nights as they were noisy - I don't know how they all fitted in to the villa as there must have been 20 of them.

The pool was just outside our front door, which was great. We were able to watch our kids outside the window while sitting at the kitchen table. The pool is lovely, nice and deep and was cleaned each morning.

The Villas have a restaurant area that we ate in a bit. Our favourite was the calamari, the rest was just OK.

While the beach in front of the Villas is pretty, it isn't a swimming beach. The few times the tide was in during our stay, the water was still not really deep enough for swimming and the bottom was very rocky. Alona Beach is much nicer.

Overall, we enjoyed our time at Villa Vidas, although we would not go there again.
