Fantastic scenery. Beautiful country. Lovely food and never a bad glass of wine. Close to beach. Free beach towels & loungers every single day. Fab air con. We had a terrible view of the kitchen roof, really awful and disgusting. There are a few sea view rooms but not many. Dont bother emailing the hotel prior to going requesting a sea view as you will not get a response. We tried several times with this request, even offering to pay to secure a nice sea view room. Nothing much in Beccici however Budva which is 5mins taxi away is beautiful and plenty of choice for restaurants/bars etc. Also recommend a day trip to Kotor Bay. Fantastic.
This hotel was full of ignorant Russians, spitting on beach and fighting you to get in/out of lift. No manners at all. This is no exaggeration at all and I am trying to be as fair as I can writing this review.
During our stay 99% Russians. Even have their private bar which we couldn’t use. Our bar was upstairs out of the way, unoccupied, dull, boring, no life at all, bit like an unused train station. No music, no entertainment as the brochure suggests. Russians could play board games/chess etc in their private exclusive lounge.
Indoor swimming pool/sauna – dreadful. Outdoor swimming pools tiny.
No where suitable on evenings to sit outside and have a drink, only a poor lit terrace, no music at all – just dull and boring! If you do have a drink here, you are quickly hurtled back inside at 11pm where you can either go to the dull boring bar upstairs for drink until 12pm when it closes. I can only describe this as a conference room. Not relaxing or cosy or what you would expect. This is not what you go on holiday for. I like simple things like having a drink at the hotel bar maybe before you go out or when you return. Not much to ask for really but it seems very difficult to achieve to most simple of things in this hotel such a nice bar area!
Terrible English speaking waiters however reception staff were quite good.
This hotel may have improved its facilities within the next few years however Montenengro will always be over run with Russians and that is the only reason I wont be returning. Beautiful country though.
Can pay anything for 2euro to 7euro for a glass of wine. Would recommend krystac which is a white wine. You can buy a bottle from the shop for under 3euro but will pay around 3euro for a glass in your hotel.
You can use hotel Splendid facilities, very expensive but nice to have a tour round.
This review is not to put people off but to prepare them for what to expect when get there and hopefully to help make your decision when booking this hotel. We had a lovely time apart from the weather on the second week. Relentless thunder storms.
