And you can get to Soll on the bus.Catch it from outside the rail station.Bus destination is Kufstein.Zell am See is nice.The lake adds a dimension.IMO the excursion to avoid is Crystal World Zwarovski.You drive past the factory,don't even see the pieces being made,en route to a glorified showroom with a sales emporium at the end.What a bore,what a rip-off.

Zell am See, the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and the dams above Kaprun are all worth visiting.

Kitzbuhel is worth a visit and then onto the Krimml falls.

There is also the tourist train from Zell am See to Kri,,l perhaps coming back by bike.

Thank you all for your suggestions - going on Saturday so will let you know how we get on. Also, we're staying in an Ingham's Summer House in St. Johann so hope this will be okay. Will keep you posted.

Inghams have access to many "Summer Houses" in St Johann.I am sure you can be confident that any will be very satisfactory.The outside HB option looks to be well priced.I wish you a happy holiday in Tirol.
