Black Bear Golf Course and Sorrento Springs are also close by and lots of fun... both are newer courses... after golf, head downtown to the Cellar at Maggie's Attic for wine and beer tastings... it is the most popular local hangout

In Mount Dora, there are two different golf courses - the Country Club of Mount Dora located off of Rte. 441 is a golf course community with lots of challenging golf. The course wanders through the neighborhoods in the country club and has several opportunities to shoot over water. The Mount Dora Golf Course is on Highland Street and is less expensive. Near Mount Dora are two other excellent newer courses -- Eagle Dunes in the community of Sorrento Springs (off of S.R. 44) and Black Bear Golf Course just up the street off of Rte. 437. You can see Black Bear advertised on the Golf Channel, and may even see PGA pro Patrick Sheehan practicing there. In the nearby town of Howey-in-the Hills is Mission Inn.
