Has not been set up to review yet but this hotel is awesome. Brand new cheap and in a great spot. The general manager even welcomed me to the hotel - how cool is that? Great hotel and thoroughly recommended.

Wow, thanks Mikey
all these years and I never knew that option existed (but as said before I rarely review,,,,,just post my review in the forums)
Thanks for that, we booked a few weeks back for November next year and it's good to hear it's been praised
This possibly explains how to review a new Hotel better than I did!
The Ibis King St Wharf IS NOT awesome. The roioms are very small for two people, beds are rock hard, there is no parking and it's around $60 per day to park near by, room cleaning consists of roughly throwing the covers over the bed (scatter cushions still on the floor), dirty cups not replaced with new ones and floor unswept when it clearly needs it due to sand etc.
It's not even that cheap. You could stay at most places on Darling Harbour for only slightly more. It feels to me like a backpacker hotel.
Shame you didn't enkoy it. I reckon I paid about $130 with brekkie. Room wasn't huge but compared to other hotels I have stayed in around the world it was adequate. Car parking in Sydney is expensive - however I didn't have a car so didn't bother me.
Does anyone have more feedback about this place, i will be staying in sydney for 3 nights, i know the location sounds perfect? Is it clausterphobic in these rooms since it seems that the windows are tiny in a small room for two?
how bout the bathrooms?
Is this the best location for the best price in sydney right now with the grand opening specials?
it's cheap and clean. i'm in paris at the moment and paying over $1000 per night for a room of comparable size. how much time do you spend in the bathroom? 5 minutes for a shower if you're anything like me. sounds like you are looking for something magnificent but don't want to spend big bucks. if cheap clean and new keeps you happy then go for the ibis. end of the day you only sleep there.
I guess it all comes down to what you want and expect of a hotel. For Sydney and that price it is reasonable.Although it is next to an elevatored road way and there is a bit of construction going on down that part of town due to major redevelopmentYou dont need a car(only if you really need one)as there is a bus stop(412,413)just 10 metres or so from the entrance on Erskine St.Ferries are also a short walk away and Wildlife World and Darling Harbour not far either.Best thing they did by building a hotel down that part of town.
