Holiday in Donegal for couple + 10 month old baby

Hi i'm just wondering if i can get some advice on a small holiday we'd like to take in Donegal - something for 5-7 nights. We have a 10 mt old baby so we thought perhaps a hotel might be out for a start - 3 of us in one room with the baby in bed early might be difficult so we thought self catering might be the way to go, as myself and my husband could chill out in the evenings while the baby is in his own room sleeping.

We don't know what area of Donegal would be best, but somewhere central to head on a few day trips and explore quaint little villages with shops/restaurants. Can anybody recommend some nice self catering options (even the ones in good hotels) and the best location to base ourselves. We would be budgeting around €600 for a 5 night break....

Thanks again!

Why not try Dunfanaghy area - good self catering properties such as Moores holiday cottages ( close to the village )

if you wanted a hotel , the Shandon is wonderful for families ( but pricey) they are really helpful with babies etc , always willing to heat bottles etc . great play area for the more grown ups too - swimming pool and spa , tennis courts etc, and really close to a lovely safe beach .

Dunfanaghy has good pubs, shops , craft and art galleries, and a nice vibe.

Dunfanaghy is very nice but as a base to explore and take day trips you might find it a bit North. As a touring base I would consider Letterkenny or Donegal itself.
