Hi Roseismck

Have a look at

http://www.letterkenny.ie/Article_Listings.aspx?tscategory_id=281&category_name=Getting+Here

There appears to be a coach trip from Glasgow to Letterkenny (have a look at John McGinley half way down the page http://www.johnmcginley.com/timetable.html ). From their website this coach travels daily. If this is the same McGinleys that travel daily to Dublin, they are around donkeys years as I always thought it was 'exotic' to see their busses parked in Parnell Square in Dublin when I was a child!

Hope you get sorted :-)

Hello Roseismck

Looks like the only other option you have is to fly to Dublin and get either a Bus Eireann or John Mc Ginley coach from the airport - 3.5 hours to Letterkenny, www.buseireann.ie. LittlePumpkin above has given you John Mc Ginley's web address.

Good luck.

If you don't fancy a coach trip all the way with McGinleys, you could look at flying to Belfast City from Glasgow and then taking an Airporter coach to Derry. From Derry, you can travel with either Bus Eireann or Lough Swilly Bus to Letterkenny.

For flight details see www.flybe.com, for Derry coach see www.airporter.co.uk and then www.buseireann.ie or home.clara.net/sjp/nibus/lstt-2009a.pdf for the most recent Lough Swilly timetable.

On reflection, the McGinley optuon might be less fraught!
