 Drom Caoin

What is the street address of this B&B. Google cannot find directions using only the sat nav coordinates. Thank you.

That will be because your satnav and probably many others don't even recognise several small townlands let alone streets or lanes known only by local terms(that one between Jims field and the ditch where Paddy crashed his tractor) . There are perfectly good directions on their web page,

This B&B is outside Belmullet in a pretty rural setting so it won't have a very detailed address and therefore the sat nav might struggle a bit (this is a common problem in Ireland outside cities and larger towns).

Have you checked the B&B's own website?

The address is in Irish - Sráid na hEaglaise means Church Street so that's likely to be a nearby landmark. We'd suggest e-mailing the B&B for directions if the sat nav can't nail it.

www.stay@drumcaoin.ie or check their website:

Here's some directions to the B&B that we've found:

Take the M59 to Bangor Erris or the R314 from Ballycastle to Belmullet. Take the first exit off the roundabout between Snoopys and Londis. Drive on Bothar Na h-Eaglaise for 0.5km. Drom Caoin is on the left.

Hi, I was in Belmullet last month, I did some walking on Church Rd., I think I remember that B&B.

As tapl noted, take first exit on your left at the roundabout in the town, go up Church Rd. - after about half a mile, there's a boarded-up church on your left, surrounded by old graveyard. Right past that is a gray metal warehouse building - the B&B is one or two houses past this. If you pass the boys' school, you've gone too far, turn around.

Have a great trip!

Hi Cinjer

The Street Address is Bóthar na hEaglaise or Church Road. All the place names and street names are in Irish as this is a designated Gaeltacht (Irish Speaking Area) Fear not though English is commonly used so you will have no communication difficulties!

If you need any more information reply to this post.
