I am going to Ferrara on a day trip from Bologna and would like to rent a bike and ride around the city walls. Has anyone done this? Where did you rent your bike? How does it compare to riding around the city walls of Lucca?

I walked around Ferrara on its city wall. It was one of my most memorable experiences. There are quite a few bicyclists. Sorry I cannot help you with the rental, but I highly recommend riding on the city wall. You'll get such a view of this beautiful city.
