“ Cheap Hotel or B & B needed ”

Hi all,

We are looking to head to Lugano for a 3 day weekend and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a cheaper hotel/b & b or anything where we could stay. Looking to spend under 100Chfs a night. I've looked all over the web but there are so many places without contact info or pictures, I thought a few specific recommendations would go a long way.

You say ''we' so I assume you are looking for a double room for less than 100 CHF. You also do not say when you are going. High or Low season?

Take a look at 1 and 2 Star hotels at:- www.scta.ch/

I have not stayed at either but you might like to consider Hotel Pestalozzi :- www.pestalozzi-lugano.ch/eng/interna.asp…

and Hotel & Hostel Montarina Garni :- www.montarina.com

We stayed at the Hotel & Hostel Montarina. It was very comfortable, and convenient to the train station. From there, you can take the funicular down to the waterfront. We were there in July, so opted for a comfort room (125 CHF) with AC. However, you can get an Antique Room (sans AC) for 105 AC.
