you can try Castel Monastero, it is about one hour away, but it is a very lovely place, great food (Gordon Ramsey restaurant).

I have spent there some days with my BF and it was amazing. They have a nice outdoor place, they also have a spa and the stuff is great. It was my BF birthday so I surprised him with the trip.

The stuff at the restaurant is great, we did some wine tasting and actually we didn't went to eat anywhere else. :-)

they are used also to wedding receptions.

Thanks for all your help. Le Vecchie Mura looks perfect for what we are looking for. We are planning on returning to San Gimignano in October and so are definately going to check it out. The terrace looks like it's a very good size, do you think it would take a large group? Will ask them anyway.

Had looked into Castel Monastero for the wedding but it seemed to be a little out of our price range. We might go there after the wedding for a few days though to relax.

Hi, We have yet to pick a caterer. We are planning a trip over next month where we're going to meet a couple of different ones so will keep you posted if you'd like.

Hi, I think that we are going to go wtih Convivium Catering in Florence http://www.conviviumfirenze.it/ . They have come recommended to us by a friend. Going over there for a tasting next week so I will let you know I we get on.

im getting married in il castagno in the middle of july of this year.

i am using a wedding planner, are any of you doing the planning yourselves?

we have over the 100 guests that the venue holds so we need to look for nearby accomodation, any suggestions?

hoping to take a trip over in easter to sort a few things out.

have any of you booked anyone to do hair and make up? we have a tight ebough budget and i heard its very expensive for upstyles and makeup!!

alsoany suggestions for bands or music for the wedding?
