“ Dinner on Sundays & Mondays ”

Hi,

We are staying in SS on the 5th & 6th of September at Hotel Niza. We were hoping to have one posh meal in Arzak or similar and one pintxos type local meal but I'm worried now as most places I try to book appear to be closed on both nights!

Can anyone recommend a local style restaurant that will be open on Sunday night for pintxos and somewhere possibly a bit more "formal" but still ideally local styled that is open on a Monday night?

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi, try at Casa Nicolasa is in Old town for dinner. Also nice Urepel.

Other famous ones Akelarre, Berasategi, Zuberoa

For pintxos, go to old town, in summer time they almost don´t close, but most pintxos bars close tuesday or, wednesday. I like "a fuego negro", "zeruko" and "la cuchara de san telmo".

September 1st saturday is cider day, sunday rowing races (regatas, very popular arround here) and basque fiestas.
