There are a least a couple of charter boats that work out of Fethard. Specialist Bait & tackel / Bait shops are absent on the Hook peninsula, you need to got to Waterford City or Wexford City - but if you ask arround the harbour or local shops, there a number of local bait diggers / hunters who will be happy to supply you. You can dig your own lug worms at Duncannon strand at low tide. The rock fishing off Slade harbour is well renowned, in September there should still be mackerel and bass arround off the rocks. Any of the auld or young fellas hanging around the harbour at Fethard will help you out on this stuff.
