I was wondering if someone could recommend a good B&B in these cities or around there. Is it worth it to stay in Letterkenny or is it okay to stay a little but out of it?

I liked Ramelton. It's smaller and quainter than Letterkenny and it gives you easy access to the northern part of Co. Donegal. I stayed at Donegal Shore B&B which is easy to find just outside of Ramelton. The B&B is very nice and clean and the owners were wonderful and very helpful. I was also thrilled that they have two lovely little cats named Archie & Tillie.
It depends on your preferences but Letterkenny has more going on. The Larkfield B&B, gets decent reviews and is a about a mile into town.
I agree with both Clarebear 05 and with Tony, Letterkenny has more to do and see but is nothing as picturesque as Ramelton. Note that neither are cities - Letterkenny has a population of 18,000 and Ramelton 1,000. Rameton is only a few miles north of Letterkenny and is an easy 15 minute drive. For some information of Ramelton see www.ramelton.net/AdNews/MaryHaggan.htm. For B&B accommodation in Ramelton, Frewin House (www.frewinhouse.com) get very good reviews.
