Hi - any recommendations for a hearty breakfast in the Kilmarnock area on a Saturday morning? Somewhere open before 9am would be ideal.

There is a "Little Chef" cafe at the junction of the A77 and A71 roads, just outside Kilmarnock. Turn off the A77 onto the A71 towards Edinburgh - the Little Chef is very close to the junction (adjacent to a petrol station and Travelodge).

not sure if Heston managed to turn around little chef? we ahve an almost three year old, so hearty sausages are a must! Hoping for a traditional scottish somewhere... anyone know of any nice cafes which pride themselves on their scottish breakfast grub?
