Ayr Forum: Camp sites in Ayr

Culzean Castle is a C&CC site, I've been myself at the start of the season and was very lucky with the weather, it does have a fantastic view. But you do pay a premium for the view, especially in high season.

You also have The Ranch Holiday Park just outside Maybole, this I would say is much more child friendly than Culzean and is only a short drive from the Castle.

You also have St Andrews Caravan Park also known as Prestwick Holiday Park it does not have a website, but here is a link with some reviews of iy.

Sorry forgot to say, at the Culzean Site you get discounted access to the Castle, it is no longer free.

There is also the Heads of Ayr caravan Park which is up near Craig Tara and the Heads of Ayr Farm Park.

Also Sundrum Castle do camping and they are part of the Parkdean group.
