I always fly with BA, and last month 7 of us decided to fly with Qatar. What a disappointments. The food they serve looked like food for prisoners and tasted like dog food, the flights delayed and arrived in the final destination 5 hrs later, seats are not very comfortable. I would say Qatar would win 5 star LOW Budget Airline. Also the service was not very good, especially on the flight from Doha-BKK cabin crew were very rude and aggressive. Would never fly with Qatar again

Hi,

I agree with #1... I do however think many of the issues raised by the OP are very, very subjective.

Food for example... You're never going to find a case where everyone loves it.. So there's not a lot to do for a true apples-to-apples comparison.

Seat comfort too.. Yes you can measure seat pitch and such, but the idea of "comfort" isn't really something that can be truly measured fairly.

I am mostly surprised by the cabin crew reference. QRs standard in that are known to be rather high and on the DOH-BKK vv sectors they staff it with several Thai nationals for language purposes.

If the OP has experience of prison food and Pedigree Chum, as it seems, I would have thought the food served on Qatar would be a distinct improvement, indeed, a gourmet experience for the OP.

I can't imagine flight crew being aggressive. If they were surely there would be lots of reports in the media?

Are you just annoyed your flight was delayed and are now trying to pad it out with other stuff?

It's never really a good idea.

As a subjective view,I've flown Qatar quite a few times. Never been less than 100% satisfied. But that's just me.

Whatever. Anyone who genuinely knows what dog food tastes like isn't really someone I would take any notice of to start with.

Perhaps you should have booked business or first class. 5* rating is based on premium class.
