"Mom's is a different breed of restaurant from the other breakfast spots we tried in Dubois. They use fresh ingredients and the menu selection trends toward healthy (fresh juices, whole-grain bread) while still offering delicious pastries and excellent coffee. I ordered eggs, toast, and coffee. Th..."e eggs were cooked perfectly (over medium, just as I like them). The service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant is located just off the main street that runs through Dubois, perched on the edge of a creek. There is a covered verandah/deck along two sides of the restaurant for outdoor dining pleasure next to the creek. We didn't take advantage of this during our visit since it was actually snowing while we were there. I plan to try it out on our next visit during the summer.

"We loved our meal at Paya Deli! We ordered a Mediterranean pizza, and it was delivered to our table with a smile. After the first bite we were congratulating ourselves on choosing this restaurant. The pizza crust is hand-made and has that wood-fired oven taste we love. The restaurant serves wine..." and beer with a very adequate selection of beer. Not sure what Outsider2WY meant by "limited menu", but I felt there were plenty of choices. It isn't a chain restaurant (I'm thankful for that) so if that's what you want you might want to travel to the nearest larger town to get the mass-produced stuff. In Dubois, this is an excellent choice, I will be back at my first opportunity.

"I've eaten at the Cowboy Cafe several times. The building has housed a restaurant since 1939, so it is an institution for locals and visitors alike. The selection of homemade pies is outstanding, and they are delicious. If you're looking for a hearty breakfast you need look no further. If you wa..."nt healthy choices you might want to try something else. On our last visit I ordered simple hashbrowns and over-medium eggs, with sourdough toast. The eggs were just about perfect. The toasted sourdough was okay if the cook had actually buttered anything besides the center of the piece of bread. The hashbrowns were frankly awful. They were either reheated from the day before or cooked in rancid oil. I also heard the cook arguing with the server about giving another customer more syrup for his blueberry pancakes. I think this particular cook might need an attitude adjustment.
On the bright side, our server was wonderful! Very friendly and attentive. I will definitely visit again, ...
