"We discovered Papa Ray's a couple of years ago, and eat here fairly regularly.
We usually have lunch fare (burgers, etc), and have never had a bad dining experience.
The staff is friendly and efficient. Drinks and food come in a timely manner.
The food is GREAT, and the portions good sized!..." This is one place where I don't have to harp about not getting enough fries, or of them not being cooked right: They are hot, cooked to perfection or close to it, and abundant. The burgers are also also outstanding.
Prices are quite reasonable. This one one of the few places that has the holy trinity of good quality food, generous portions, and excellent value.
Yes, the ambiance may be dated, but that's not what you're eating!
If you like quintessential American food, this is the place to eat!

"Thanks to the folks that pointed out that the ownership of this restaurant has changed. We ate at the old one a few years ago, and swore we'd never go back.
I am very happy to report that the new place has been transformed 180 degrees: The food is GREAT, service is wonderful, and the place is als..."o a good value.
It still has the old decor, which was fine. There was no need to change it.
As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted and seated.
On a Friday night, the place had to be about 75% full in the main dining area. Pretty soon, it overflowed into the back dining area.
My wife's drink came quickly. Her Thai coffee was excellent, and not quite as sweet as others, which made it just about perfect. Do yourself a favor, and order some sort of beverage: The Centralia water was NASTY, with a bad taste and aftertaste.
We ordered the Spring Rolls, a Thai fried rice, and a curry.
These same out in record time, and they were good and hot. My wife was pleasantly surprised...

"We had breakfast here a year ago at 5:30 in the morning and again recently in mid-afternoon. Perfect hashbrowns, crispy and freshly grated. Two eggs on a light and fluffy biscuit, chili with cornbread ... $6.99 each, and what a friendly and enlivening place. This is a place that likes what it is, ..."and that is contagious. If you're looking for a break from the monotony of Interstate 5 between Portland and Seattle, this is your place.
