  "Currently this is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in the Belton-Temple area. My favorite is the carne guisada plate. Service is quick and efficient. I visited twice in May and the food had a great, freshly cooked flavor both times. Inexpensive and reasonable prices. "

  "Our son just bought a houseboat on Lake Belton which is a gorgeous lake southwest of Temple, TX. We took him and his dad to the Dead Fish Grill for Father's day. He had the Grouper with a crawfish ettoufe for $19 which he said was excellent. My daughter had mahi mahi over a bed of rice with green..." beans for $15. I had one large piece of fried catfish, 4 fried shrimp for $15 and my husband had the same grilled, same price. It came with cold slaw and French fries. The children's meals are $4-6. The atmosphere is casual. They were very busy but we were seated pretty soon...no time to finish our bar drinks before the table was ready at 7:30 on Saturday night. Lots of tables. This is not a fancy place but it does have good atmosphere, especially with the expanse of the lake out the windows. There was also a wedding reception going on in a large room next door. " More >
