"The hostess promptly seated me on arrival. I noticed that around 6 pm the place gets very busy and that some people had to wait, so you may wish to go earlier as I did. The menu is a mix of Greek and southern food. The portions severed can be large. There are number of offerings on the menu so ta..."ke your time on review. I decided on the southern fried pork chop, against my better judgment I ordered two instead of one. For my sides I had mashed potatoes and fried okra. I also asked for a small Greek salad.
The Greek salad comes with a slab of feta cheeses. You break it into the salad. This was one of the better Greek salads I have had in sometime. Then the main course came. I regretted ordering two pork chops as these were not small chops. I scraped some of the breading off the chops as there was too much to my liking. They were very good, just like southern fried chops should be. The okra was disappointing. No flavor, it reminded me of something frozen dumped into the frye...

"The city of Florence has opened a new park behind the Clay Pot (specializing in coffees, teas, great baked goodies, and wonderful organic lunch offerings) and is making it available for outside seating to the businesses on their block. The Clay Pot really got into the swing of things inaugural nigh..."t by offering beer, wine and a nicely grilled brat with chips, potato salad and pickle all outside. This seating, in addition to the current outdoor seating outside on the front sidewalk, will allow for even more enjoyment of the offerings from Clay Pot. With their free wi-fi, it's a wonderful place to do a little work, visit with friends whiled enjoying drinks and goodies not found elsewhere in Florence. See you there soon!

The place has a high ceiling and a second story. On the ground level there is a place structured like a sidewalk café. Behind that is..." what I would call a carnival eatery where they usually sit families with kids as ice cream and cotton candy are nearby. There is the porch section that is reminiscent of sitting on a bayou porch.
The beer came with a cold frosted mug. As an appetizer I ordered a pizza dip. I had not heard of this type of dip before. It is interesting. It is a bowl with melted cheese and pizza toppings, served with a side of tortilla chips. The cheese is a little too thick as I kept breaking chip[s. However the dip was very good. It has so many calories that it could replace an entrée. I had also ordered the grill mix which has grilled shrimp, chicken and beef served with rice and green beans. In...
