"One of the highlights of spring is our annual golf trip to Pinehurst. Eight of us dined at Theo's AGAIN. We have eaten there at least 15 years in a row. This year - service a bit slow - but the place was packed so I'll give them a pass this time.
Most of us had one of the six or so specials th..."at evening. All who had a "special" reported the food as excellent. I had the halibut special and it was outstanding. Those who ordered off of the menu were not as pleased as those of us who had specials - just not up to past years.
I will continue to go to Theo's everytime I'm in Pinehurst - but I have a suggestion for Elias. Cut the number of offerings on the menu - there are just TOO many. Concentrate on a few staples - and continue to prepare the outstanding specials.
I miss Theo's already...

"Great destination for golf history. I don't know how they make the club sandwich so good, but it's REALLY good! Wings are good to. The "Chop" is a must. Kinda like the egg salad at Augusta. People in the know, know. "
"It's about as varied as you can get for a breakfast spread. If you like your meats they have about every variety available. Great big blackberries, omelettes to order and of course the staples. A grand old dining room."
